Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival – 10/2

Before you head over to San Mateo for Kabuki, you may want to check out this Japanese Culture Festival in Millbrae. Looks like an impressive line up of performances (including koto, odori, and Okinawan dance and taiko), exhibits, and food.

The City of Millbrae and its Japanese Culture Festival Committee, together with its lead sponsor, The Millbrae Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce that the 6th Annual Japanese Culture Festival will be held in Millbrae on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The genesis of the event stems from a desire for the Millbrae City Council to celebrate the growing diversity and unique cultures of Millbrae and its surrounding communities on the Bay Area Peninsula. It is a non-profit event, providing entertainment, activities for children and adults and an opportunity for vendors of merchandise and food to participate. City philanthropic and community related groups are also welcome to participate.

Where: Civic Center Plaza – 1 Library Lane, Millbrae, CA

When: Sunday, October 2, 2011 – 10:30am-4:30pm
