We are happy to announce this year’s scholarship offering from the JET Alumni Association of Northern California. This annual program has been honoring selected students with a variable amount scholarship to be used towards their college tuition. The amount of the award this year will be $2500, which was increased by $500 starting in 2021 due to the added challenges students have faced during the pandemic. We have continued to receive a large number of applications from very high-quality students. Last year we selected one candidate from a pool of 11 exceptional finalists. Mikhail (Misha) Studenkov of Homestead High School in Cupertino was awarded the scholarship to support his matriculation at the University of Rochester in the fall of 2021.
Application Timeline
March 1, 2022 - online application opens
April 17, 2022 - deadline to submit online application and all accompanying materials
First Week of May 2022 - selected award recipient will be informed of results
June 2022 - Funds sent directly to the attending institution for the fall term
