Ryan was a junior high school ALT in Maibara, Shiga from 2007-2012, working at Soyo Junior High School. While living in Shiga, Ryan enjoyed exploring local festivals, annually bicycling around Lake Biwa, playing with 2 taiko teams, and meeting folks both local and from around the world. He is currently employed as the Coordinator of Cultural Affairs at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco. Through JETAANC, Ryan is looking forward to reconnecting with fellow JETs and working on a variety of events connecting Northern California and Japan.
