JETAANC exists as an organization to assist and support all JET participants as they readjust to life in the US. It additionally serves as an extended network for JETs who wish to keep their connections with Japan and the JET Program alive. In accordance, JETAANC seeks to provide career, educational, and re-entry guidance for all JETAANC members. From job search advice and educational opportunities to information on tax returns and spousal visas, JETAANC can help provide the assistance you're looking for.

Activities range from dinner clubs, ski trips and pub nights to participating in pre-departure training for new JETs. We are also active in Northern California's many Japan-related cultural and artistic events and serve as a resource to the community in their educational, cultural and international exchange activities.

JETAANC works closely with Consulate General of Japan, San Francisco to provide assistance with the alumni-led Orientation, year-round JET Program recruitment and promotion, and annual interviews of potential participants in February. We also act as the voice for returned JETs with the Japanese government, representing alumni interests at annual conferences in the U.S. and around the world.
