About JETAANC Scholarship
JETAANC established a university scholarship award in 2002, for high school seniors who are headed to an accredited college or university. The JETAANC scholarship is open to students within JETAANC's geographic area, namely Nevada and the 48 northernmost Californian counties. This excludes San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial counties. Applicants do not need to be students of Japanese language, but must be able to demonstrate a sustained interest in Japan or Japanese culture.
Applicants are judged based on a number of criteria including a demonstrated interest in Japan, academic accomplishments, a personal essay and recommendations.
