Frisbee Golf anyone?
Just another reminder that we'll be having a disc golf fundraiser at 10:00
AM on the morning of the Family Day Picnic at the disc golf course
in Golden Gate Park.
If you haven't played disc golf before, that's fine. It looks like we'll
have mostly beginners out for the tournament and even the most experienced
of players are easily humbled by a well-positioned tree. If you've thrown a
frisbee and have played mini golf, you are adequately prepared for this
sport. There's no better place to be introduced to the sport than in the
beautiful surroundings of Golden Gate Park.
It looks like we'll scale down the inaugural tournament, so the entry fee
will probably be on the lower side (say $20 or so depending on the price of
rented discs) and we won't have enough people participating to print up
commemorative discs. Hopefully we'll still be able to swing a couple of
donations for prizes.
Please get back to Douglas soon regarding your interest in playing or
volunteering as a spotter on "long drive" and "closest to the pin" holes.
Please send Douglas an e-mail at shelton.douglas@ gmail.com
