An invitation from Kezai Society to what looks to be a fun event later this month. Kezai Society is a San Francisco Bay Area based business and professional networking organization that focuses on U.S.-Japan relations:

Happy New Year! We are having our annual New Year Reception on January 27 and would like to invite you to join us.
This year we will be honoring Ms. Yoshi Akiba, of Yoshi’s Jazz Bar, with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to US-Japan relations.

We will also be performing our traditional Kagamiwari (sake barrel “breaking”) ceremony. The Consul General of Japan, Hiroshi Inomata, is expected to lead this tradition.

When:  Friday, January 27, 2012,  6-10pm
Where: Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club
Fees:    $45 registration by 1/23/12 ($75 late registration by 1/26)
